That Festive Feeling

Holly has the place to herself this Christmas. It’s not her place, though – she is house-sitting for friends who live on Nightingale Square – just there to keep the place warm and cosy and only for long enough for her to sort her life out. Newly single and finding herself unsure about next steps for her career, she plans to hunker down and make some life decisions.

To clear her mind, she sets off on early morning walks around a nearby lake and bumps into May, an older lady who is also new to the area, and her dapper Dachshund Monty. Quickly, a firm friendship blossoms. Then when Holly meets Bear, a rather large and rather attractive man, at the local pub, and his rescue dog Queenie, her stay at Nightingale Square suddenly feels even more appealing.

As the community comes together for the season’s festivities, Holly must start thinking about where her life will take her next. Some big decisions need to be made, but distractions close to home make thinking about the future more tricky than ever…

Will she get that festive feeling this Christmas…?

A wonderful Christmas read
This is so good that I read it in one day. A wonderful Christmas story about two women who meet during difficult times of their lives..They become the best of friends and both decide to help with the Nightingale Square Christmas production. This book has everything family, friendships, community spirit and a little romance. I highly recommend that you read it. Christine A

Loved it!
I listened to this on Audible and enjoyed every second of it. All the name drops of places and characters from the authors previous books gave me a little warm happy feeling. I'd love to hear more of Holly and Bears story in the future, even if it's just as background characters mentioned in another book. 10/10 as usual from Heidi. LKB

Nightingale Square hit!
I could not put this book down. I loved it. It’s so good to be back in the square again, it’s like visiting a well loved place. Holly us just fab and from the moment we’re introduced to Bear I was rooting for them to be an item. All characters were loveable especially May, Monty and Queenie. 5 stars doesn’t seem enough for this book. Amazon Customer

Christmassy read
I really enjoyed this latest book from Heidi Swain which comes complete with lashings of Christmas cheer. Such a lovely book featuring Holly who has moved to nightingale square for Christmas. Really cute story with adorable dogs, a lovely community feel and a HEA. And now I find out it’s in a series I’ll need to go back and read the rest! Jonah Brett

Love it!
I'm so happy we're back in Nightingale square! This series has been so lovely and it's just fab to be able to not only meet new characters but get little snippets of what the others are at as well.
I really enjoyed Holly and Bears story and of course Queenie and Monty were the stars of the show in this one! Clara Q
Perfect festive read
Reading this book is like being wrapped in a fleece blanket and given a huge hug. The story, as always had me enthralled from the very start and I loved watching the relationships develop. Her journey of being depleted of self belief to believing and taking the plunge to do what she believed in felt very poignant. I also loved May's story and all the colours of the rainbow. Definitely a must read as it really is a feel good Christmas extravaganza. LKB
