Walking on Sunshine

A Summer in Suffolk could be just what Tilly needs…

When Tilly heads to the river in Willowell, Suffolk, to scatter her dad’s ashes, she’s in need of some rest and relaxation. Life has been tough lately, and she wants a new start.

Constance has lived in Fernside forever. She owns the beautiful Willowell Woods – but she can’t manage them alone, and they’re now up for sale.

Her nephew, James, has always loved Willowell Woods – and he doesn’t want anyone taking them over. So when Tilly asks to buy them, with an exciting idea for the land, sparks begin to fly… the problem is, they’re already falling in love.

Can Tilly and James find a way to turn sparks into fireworks? And will Constance finally realise that letting in the new doesn’t have to mean getting rid of the old…?

Great summer read
This books celebrates the best bits of summer - swimming in the river, walks in the forest, gatherings with friends, picnics etc. It has a very upbeat and mindful theme throughout and I think is the a perfect read for any holiday. RUTH H

Overall a brilliant, escapist, addictive and beautiful page turner!! An absolute must read!!
This is a beautifully written book that has vivid and emotive descriptions into the gorgeous Willowell in Suffolk where you will breathe in the fresh air, feel your heart warming and fall in love with the storyline and the characters. It takes you on a journey to Willowell and I was devastated when I had to pack my case to come back home and leave it behind. The title, synopsis and cover suit the storyline perfectly. GreatGreat summer read. Bookworm86

Simply gorgeous

What a perfect name for such a gorgeous book. I felt like I had my own personal woodland guide as the descriptions of the flowers, trees and wildlife in Willowell Woods had me picturing an idyllic spot. It’s been some time since I’ve been able to walk in any woods, but I am now craving a visit as soon as possible. I’m still not convinced that wild swimming is for me, but never say never. BabsW

Wonderful, one of her best
As with any book by this author I love the small village setting of the book with characters who felt like friends. Another absorbing read, am looking forward to the next one. Aileen C

Didn't want to leave Willowell
As usual thank you Heidi for a great journey through your latest adventure. I always feel I've been away staying with friends when I've read your latest book. Thank you again. Patricia P

A fantastic summer read, you won't be disappointed.

What another fantastic book from Heidi Swain. You won't be disappointed with this book. Walking on Sunshine is such a lovely summer read and it is a brand new series that Heidi is doing. I absolutely loved the setting and could picture myself there, paddling in the river, walking through Willowell Woods. I loved the characters and looking forward to the next books in this series. A very satisfying read

This book was really like reading on sunshine. Heidi Swain’s books just seem to get better and better with each new one. This book had a different storyline, about woodlands which was good, a few friendships and two slow burn romances. The characters were interesting and very appropriate for the story. Add to that a few twists and turns and it was perfect for reading on a wet windy night. dco

Pure Escapism

Can you believe this is Heidi’s 22nd book?! As always, she has worked her absolute magic.
Heidi has a knack for transporting you directly into the heart of a setting so vivid you never want to leave.
This time, we’re whisked away to Fernside & Willowell Woods in Suffolk. It's pure escapism. The characters are the kind of people you immediately want to root for. I genuinely wanted to join their tribe & I’m already missing them!
This is the perfect read to take into the garden now that the sun is finally making an appearance. Grab a drink, listen to the birds, & take a metaphorical stroll through the woods! Hyggenookandbook
A total delight
A new Suffolk location for this latest book from Heidi Swain, and so beautifully described - the perfect spot, tinged with happy memories, for Tilly to say her final goodbye to her dad and decide what her future may hold. And then there's Fernside - the Riverside home of elderly (and often cantankerous) Constance, who becomes the friend and mentor she never expected. Welsh Annie

Enjoy visiting Willowell - perfect read
A fantastic new book from the amazing Heidi Swain. Willowell in Suffolk is a magnificent setting and the fabulous new characters are great. The story was perfect, I could hardly put the book down. Heidi writes the perfect fiction which makes you feel that you're in those places with those people. A real escapism for me. It could easily be a book that could have follow-on stories.
All of Heidi's books are wonderful and this one is no exception, magnificent.
A real must read book. Amanda S

Walking on sunshine

Walking on Sunshine is exactly the kind of novel that feels like stepping into a sun‑dappled clearing after a long, difficult season-gentle, hopeful, and full of heart. Heidi Swain brings Willowell, Suffolk to life with her trademark blend of warmth, community spirit, and a touch of quiet magic. Lubyh23

Full of Sunshine
As a big fan of Heidi Swain's books I was very excited to receive an early copy as I've read almost every one of her books (I'm aiming to finish the rest of them this year). Walking on Sunshine is set in a gorgeous new location; this time we're visiting Willowell in the gorgeous Suffolk countryside. With a new setting also comes new characters to fall in love with, and I certainly did just that! Rebecca

Brilliant Read
Willowell Woods are up for sale and Tilly has a plan but can she make her dream a reality.
A new book by Heidi Swain is always something to look forward to because it means a new adventure. As soon as I saw the cover it made me smile. The cover just screams summer and warmth and the story was definitely filled with warmth. The storyline included friendship, relationships, romance, new starts and the found family trope. I loved the setting of the story. Fernside and Willowell Woods sounded so magical and the more time I spent there while reading I wish I could live there. Bookshortie
